A new version of wordpress, the script this blog is running on, is preparing to be released. The 2.7 Wireframes version comes with a lot of new features, that allow you to change your admin interface structure, fixes some bugs, but I’m sure that like any new version that comes out, it has many other new bugs.
I will not install it yet, but wait for 2.7.1 or so, that should be more bugg-free.

Change the admin interface? Does it finally allow us to change the administrator password?

I hope they upgrade their WYSWIG editor also. We have written all our posts in raw HTML, and whenever you update the post, it changes all the tags to . How did you get access to 2.7 before it comes out?

Why is it called Wireframe? In webdesign that has a very definite meaning which is a basic mockup of a website before any serious coding and design gets underway

I can’t wait to see those changes, especially those connected with admin interface. I would like to see something different on that field.

Probably a good choice to just use what you have until you know the new one works. I do like the sound of the new admin features. I haven’t switched over to the new wordpress yet, but if you do you should let us know what you think of it!

WORDPRESS NEEDS TO STOP COMING OUT WITH NEW VERSIONS EVERY MONTH, AND NEEDS TO JUST STICK TO ONE. SERIOUSLY I FRICKING HATE UPDATING IT ALL THE TIME TO GET THE NEWEST FEATURES.
that’s the end of my venting….

@John - Well if they stop coming out with new versions, how are we going to get some cool changes and fixes?
The new version will have an autoupdate thing so I guess updating wouldn’t be a problem by then? Haha..

I say if it’s not broke then don’t fix it but what do I know. If everyone thought like that then we would still be living in caves.
I am curious to see what they have to offer though.
