Wordpress 2.3.1 has been released, but doesn’t bring any features, just security and bug fixes, as you can read:
- Tagging support for Windows Live Writer
- Fixes for a login bug that affected those with a Blog Address different than
their WordPress Address- Faster taxonomy database queries, especially tag intersection queries
- Link importer fixes
When selecting examination preparation material for courses like 1z0-042 or even PMI-001, one can also collect material for 350-030 since the course outline is very similar. Same holds true for both 642-892 as well as 642-432. On the other hand, if thinking of attempting 70-291 or even 640-863, one might have to purchase entirely new preparation material as they are entirely different certifications.

I would like to use this soon. Unfortunately, the version of Plesk that we’re running on our servers doesn’t support the latest versions of PHP/MySQL so Wordpress 2.1+ isn’t jiving. Too bad because it leaves open vulnerabilities.

Tried the lastest wordpress 2.3.1, nothing fascinating. Same old application with lesser bug.

This is something that bothered me quite a long time: how the hell to upgrade and maintain the 55+ blogs.
I mean every freaking new updated used to create a stream of sweat for me before I tried the

I had a hard work converting a Geeklog based website to WP 2.2 (i guess), all finished, including modified templates…site was constantly down, because WP is very database-heavy. I tried wp-cache and a lot of apache/php config to optimize.
Nothing worked, back to old geeklog.
Well, not good experience to me using wp.

Worked flaulessly for me, no bugs at all and it worked like a charm with the auto installer, it’s always good when things run smooth.
November 24th, 2007 at 10:27 pm
I heard mixed things about it, so I will wait some time before upgrading.

I am currently not updating to this latest version, will there be any kind of risks not doing so ?

@ Guess : No there are no problems now in upgrading because all the plugin developers have upgraded their plugins.

December 14th, 2007 at 9:28 pm
I just came across this entry by accident . . . why didn’t WordPress notify me of this upgrade?!! Thanks for sharing it; otherwise, I would have never known.
December 26th, 2007 at 8:27 pm
I upgraded to the new WP and was surprised to see it fix a couple of bugs on my blog, with “pages” ( not “write a new page,” but links to uploaded files ) being marked private after I published them. The tagging is nice, too…
December 28th, 2007 at 10:01 am
that’s good I already tried it.
