Yellow background ads on Google’s search results

Posted on 03 March 2007

Google Adwords is testing yellow background ads on Google’s search results. I don’t really now how a non-seo searcher thinks, but this change will stop me clicking the sponsored ads that i was clicking until now by mistake. I prefer clicking SERP results than sponsored ones. The yellow background is much more obvious than the blue one.

We will see if this performs well and if it will be implemented or will remain just a failed test.

Here’s a screenshot of how the yellow background sponsored results look like:

I never click the sponsored results. Being sponsored does not make those sites relevant to my search!
