Wordpress seems to suffer of supplemental syndrom, because of it’s unsafe structure, that shows the same posts in a lot of different pages, like Categories, Archives, Page, Post and Index. This are at least 5 copies of the same post, that Google may treat like duplicate content and add to supplemental results.
If you don’t want to risk your website’s SERP and traffic you should seriously think fixing this problem. A robots.txt file should be included in future releases of wordpress, to make the script much more seo friendly, than it already is.
Even one of the well known bloggers faced this problem and got it fixed using the robots.txt file.
