Website validation - any good ?

Posted on 07 September 2006

A very controversed question would be: “How can validation help my seo?”

And there comes a lot of different answers. I will try to treat in this post all sides and benefits of a website with validated html code.

There has been made lots of tests and projects to see if the validation really helps for seo. Some tests show that it doesn`t help at all and that can even surclass the website in from of the invalid ones. Of course this can`t be exact, but it seems that seo isn`t related to validity at all.

But there are other aspects of the valid code. It means that every user with every browser can visit the website. And that`s good for the webmaster. Who wouldn`t like his website getting more visits ?

Other aspect of validation is to keep the website clean and easy to read for the programmer. A well structured and validated website can save the programmer a lot of time.

In the end, this website will help you find the validation errors and help you fix them.
